WSJ: Germany And U.S. Agree To Send Patriot To Ukraine

Pistorius announced the timeline.

Germany will send Ukraine batteries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which it buys from the United States.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing a statement by a senior White House official. He said this after a meeting between NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and President Donald Trump at the White House.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who is just in Washington, told reporters that he had offered to buy two Patriot systems for the Ukrainian army together with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth a few weeks ago:

"Now we are not in a position to provide another system ourselves. But we are ready, given that Ukraine needs more systems, to buy two [from the United States]."

At the same time, Pistorius said, it would take several months, if not more, to deliver one such system.
