The White House speaker commented on the media reports.
White House Speaker Caroline Leavitt commented on media reports about the latest conversation between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky regarding a potential "strike against Moscow." Her words are published by ABC News and Newsweek on July 15.
According to the Financial Times and The Washington Post, during a phone conversation with Zelensky on July 14, Trump asked whether Kiev could strike Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Livitt did not disagree that there was such a dialog, but at the same time she accused the Financial Times of "taking words out of context to gain clicks."
The White House speaker noted that "Trump was only asking questions, not calling for further assassinations," and that he was "working tirelessly to stop the killing and end this war."
