Trump Responded By Saying He Will Deal With Russian Federation After The 50-day Deadline

The US president was also asked why he gave Putin so much time.

US President Donald Trump said that in 50 days it will be "very bad" for Russia if no agreement on Ukraine is reached.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Trump said this while speaking to reporters.

The journalists asked Trump what will happen to Russia after the 50-day deadline for the ceasefire ends. And whether Trump plans to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

"Well, in 50 days, if we don't have an agreement, it's going to be very bad. There will be duties, there will be other sanctions that will be directed at Moscow," he emphasized.

When asked why Trump gave Putin so much time, he said that the deadline for imposing customs tariffs could come even earlier than the said deadline.

"I don't think 50 days is a very long time, and it could happen sooner.... You should have asked Biden the same question. Why did he get us into this war? What did he tell you, why did he get us into this war? You know why he got us into it? Because he's a fool. That's why. And you don't know, and you don't cover it. But you should have asked Biden that question. Because he's incompetent. This would never have happened if I were president," the US president said.
