That means Ukraine will soon get them.
US President Donald Trump said that the first Patriot missiles are already being shipped to allies, which means that Ukraine will soon receive them.
This is reported by Reuters.
On July 15, Donald Trump had an opportunity to talk to journalists at Andrews Air Force Base. Thus, answering a question about arms deliveries to allies, the US president said that the first Patriot air defense systems have already gone to European allies.
"They come from Germany, and then they are replaced by Germany. And in all cases, the United States gets paid in full," Trump said.
At the same time, Donald Trump said, the United States will not suffer any financial losses because NATO and the European Union have borne all the costs.
"NATO is going to pay us for everything. In some cases, we will be paid back directly by the European Union countries. We always get our money back in full. So we don't have to invest any more," he said.
Trump specified that some weapons are being supplied from Germany, which is expected to replenish its stockpile later.
At the same time, during a speech at Andrews Air Force Base, Trump emphasized that America will not intervene directly in the fighting in Ukraine. The president added that thanks to this, "thousands of lives are saved every week" - we are talking about soldiers from both sides of the conflict.
