Zelensky Had An Hour-long Conversation With Macron

Discussed air defense and the "coalition of the determined."

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had a "very informative" one-hour phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

It was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Zelensky's post in Telegram.

He said they discussed the situation on the front lines and Ukraine's priority defense needs. They also talked in detail about strengthening Ukrainian air defense, in particular about supplying missiles for SAMP/T systems and funding for interceptor drones.

"We will prepare joint decisions with France and partners at the level of defense ministers and foreign ministers on new steps to protect the lives of our people from Russian strikes," he wrote.

Separately Zelensky noted the agreement on training pilots for "mirages": France is ready to accept for training additional pilots on additional aircraft.

They also discussed work in the format of a "coalition of the resolute" and the implementation of the agreements of the recent meeting.

"Together we are also working with American partners so that Russia feels truly global pressure. Every day of dragging out the war should be reflected by really painful consequences for Russia," the Ukrainian president added.
