Ukraine Offers Russia New Talks

Ukraine has proposed Russia to hold a new meeting at the level of delegations as early as next week. This was announced by President Vladimir Zelensky in an evening video message, writes unian.net.

According to him, there is now an ongoing "conversation" with the Russian side about continuing the prisoner exchanges agreed upon during previous meetings in Istanbul.

"Now the team is working on another exchange," the president said.

In addition, according to Zelensky, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov offered the Russians to hold a new meeting as early as next week.

"The negotiating dynamics should be increased, we need to do everything to achieve a ceasefire. And the Russian side needs to stop hiding from solutions. The exchange of prisoners, the return of children, the cessation of killings. And we need a meeting at the level of leaders to really ensure peace," the Ukrainian head of state said.
