Its leader caused an uproar at the meeting.
Moldova's Central Election Commission has made a decision that could lead to the dissolution of the political party "Chance", part of the political bloc of pro-Russian oligarch-fugitive Ilan Shor, which angered the party's leader Alexei Lungu.
This was reported by "European Pravda" with reference to the official statement of the CEC.
The CEC press service said that the grounds for the decision, which could lead to the dissolution of the political party "Chance", were numerous violations of the legislation on the financing of political parties and improper submission of financial reports.
The party leader Lungu was present during the meeting and criticized the members of the commission and interrupted the meeting several times.
The CEC chairperson Angela Karaman gave him a warning.
His attacks continued, however, and Karaman called law enforcers to escort Lungu and asked him to leave the room.
According to the CEC decision, some parties violated the deadlines for submitting financial reports or signed them by inappropriate persons. In particular, "Chance" submitted the report late, signed only with the electronic signature of the party chairman, which contradicts the requirements of the law.
In addition, the CEC found violations in the reports of seven other political parties, some of which are already in the process of dissolution. The decision was unanimous.
The "Chance" party became the de facto successor of the "Shor" party after it was declared unconstitutional, adopting its colors and style. The party is now part of the Victory bloc, which Shor announced in Moscow.
