Rutte: Lavrov Hasn't Said Anything Useful Since The Time Of Christ

NATO Secretary General sharply mocked the Russian Foreign Minister.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has mocked Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov over his recent comments about the "collapse" of the Alliance.

Rutte said this on Fox News.

A few days ago, Lavrov was asked to comment on the words of his Polish vis-a-vis Radoslav Sikorski, who predicted the collapse of Putin's regime as a result of a modern "arms race."

"He probably foresees, since he is such a harbinger, that the catastrophic, according to my estimates, increase in the budget of NATO countries will also lead to the collapse of this organization," the Russian foreign minister managed to reply.

Commenting on these words, Rutte first of all congratulated Donald Trump and his administration on the "huge foreign policy victory" regarding the increase in NATO defense spending.

"Lavrov - he is Russia's foreign minister, it seems, since the birth of Jesus Christ? And nothing useful has come out of his mouth since then," the secretary general opined.

"So don't pay too much attention to Mr. Lavrov," he suggested.
