The Raybird UAV will be manufactured in the United Kingdom.
Ukrainian company Skyeton, specializing in unmanned aerial systems, and leading British defense company Prevail Partners announced the establishment of a joint venture.
The project provides for the deployment of serial production of Raybird drones on the territory of the United Kingdom.
The production capacity will be used not only to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also to meet the needs of the army of the UK and other NATO countries.
Skyeton is known for its reconnaissance systems It is a universal unmanned aerial system with a fixed wing. NATO Class I, U.S. Department of Defense Group 2.
Prevail Partners notes that the Raybird outperforms competitors in its class in terms of endurance, range, cost, and operational reach.
The basic model of the Raybird was developed back in 2016, and already in 2018 the ACS-3/Raybird aircraft system was adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Raybird has more than 350,000 hours of combat sorties. It is a reconnaissance aircraft that can stay in the air for up to 28 hours and cover a distance of up to 2,500 kilometers.
It can bypass air defense systems and active REB zones to conduct high-quality visual reconnaissance from an altitude of up to 5.5 kilometers and perform other tasks.
Skyeton says the Raybird gets about forty iterations a year to make timely changes based on battlefield experience.
One of the latest versions of the complex integrates a laser-guided corrective munitions guidance system that operates with accuracy to within a meter. This is the only drone in its class that has such a system.
