More than 130 passenger trains were running in Russia with delays as of the morning of July 20.
The Russian Railways press service reported this.
According to Russian authorities, Ukrainian drones damaged the contact network. On the evening of July 20, the Russian Federal Passenger Company reported that 75 trains were delayed.
The delays range from 33 minutes to 15 hours, according to Russian Railways. Both trains of FPC (a subsidiary of Russian Railways) and trains of Grand Service Express running to and from annexed Crimea are late.
"Additional staff is working at all main stations of the North Caucasus and South-Eastern Railway and bottled water distribution has been organized," the statement said.
The UAV attack occurred on the morning of July 19. Russian Railways said that the contact network was damaged on the Likhaya-Zamchalovo crossing, and the duty woman on duty at Likhaya station was injured. This is the main passage from Moscow to Rostov and further south toward Sochi.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed more than 20 downed Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the day and evening of July 19, and on the morning of July 20, the agency reported 93 UAVs shot down overnight.
