Moscow has unexpectedly praised US President Donald Trump. This came after Trump's threats to conclude a peace agreement with Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the Russian dictator's spokesman Dmitri Peskov to Russian propagandists.
"It is clear that President Trump is the president of the largest country in the world, the largest economy in the world. Plus everyone is used to his rather harsh and straightforward rhetoric. At the same time, he confirms his intentions to continue to do everything possible to promote a peaceful settlement," he said.
Commenting on the recent conversation between Trump and Putin, the dictator's spokesman said it was a business dialog.
"It was a pragmatic business conversation between people who are tough on their positions, but who are ready to listen to each other," Peskov added.
