In The U.S., An Airplane Managed To Return To The Airport With Its Engine On Fire

A video of the incident has surfaced.

In the United States, a Delta Airlines passenger plane managed to return to Los Angeles airport after an engine fire. The airliner managed to land despite the fact that its engine was engulfed in flames.

This is reported by BBC.

The publication writes that the Boeing 767-400 flight "Los Angeles - Atlanta" almost crashed due to a fire. One of the engines burst into flames during takeoff.

Despite the flames engulfing the left engine, the airliner managed to turn around, make a circle and land safely on the airport runway.

"Delta Flight 446 returned to Los Angeles shortly after departure due to signs of a problem with the plane's left engine," a spokesperson for the airline commented on the incident.

The situation with the plane was caught on video and published on the LA Flights YouTube channel. In the video, the plane's left engine can be seen on fire, but the pilots were able to come in for a maneuver and land the plane.
