Belarus And Turkey Change The Terms Of Mutual Visa-free Regime

What to expect for Belarusians.

Belarus and Turkey have changed the terms of mutual visa-free regime, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The corresponding protocol was signed in Minsk.

The document amends the agreement on mutual visa abolition, signed by the governments of Belarus and Turkey on March 29, 2013. In particular, the innovations after ratification and entry into force of the new protocol will affect the workers of the transport industry of both countries. These are drivers and crew members of trucks, buses, as well as aircrafts of civil aviation and sea vessels that perform international cargo and passenger transportation. All of them will be able to stay on a visa-free basis both in Belarus and Turkey for no more than 90 days in any of the 180-day periods.

The Foreign Ministry notes that the protocol was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeny Shestakov on behalf of Belarus. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Güçlu Cem Işık signed on behalf of Turkey.
