Another Anecdotal Decision By Lukashenko

Soon Belarusian diplomats will be sent to their native neighborhoods for training.

The "successes" of Belarusian diplomacy have reached such heights that there is nowhere to put diplomats. At a meeting with the governor of Samara Region, Lukashenka promised to redirect the diplomatic reserve from the West to the East. However, in the East the choice of directions for redistributing diplomatic resources is not very diverse either, writes planmedia.io.

"The reserve of diplomats that we have created today, we are ready to redirect from the West to the East. If they don't want to work with Belarus, there are enough states in the world that are happy to cooperate with us," said Lukashenko.

The Belarusian authorities threaten to punish Europe by withdrawing Belarusian diplomats since the end of 2020. At the request of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the staff of the U.S. and 9 EU embassies in Minsk was reduced several times.

The EU and the U.S. reciprocated. Belarusian diplomats from these countries were drawn back to their homeland. The late Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei threatened Europe with multi-vectorism and promised that there would be a wide demand for Belarusian diplomats.

"We are significantly reducing the diplomatic presence in European countries. We are reducing the number of diplomatic personnel. But we are largely moving them to other areas of work, to other areas where they will be in demand," said Makei at the time.

Four years have passed, but the diplomatic reserves have remained unclaimed. Apparently, China has too many people as it is, and the countries of the far arc are too far away. So, of all the numerous vectors, Belarusian diplomats have only one left.

"We have practically taken our diplomatic missions from the West. If they don't want to cooperate with us, why should we break through a closed door. We are expanding our presence where they want to see us. And first of all in our Russian Federation," said Lukashenko.

It's impossible to say that Belarus' representation in Russia was not wide enough before. As of 2020, there was the Belarusian embassy and 12 other representative offices in Russia. But the Belarusian land is now abundant with diplomats, and there's nowhere to put them. Therefore, the status of most of the embassy offices was raised to the level of consulate general. With a corresponding expansion of staff. But even the expanded staff was not enough for all the reserve diplomats.

"Therefore, the Foreign Ministry is tasked to raise the level of our cooperation," said Lukashenko.

After all, Russia has 89 federal subjects. Including 24 republics, nine territories and one autonomous region. Therefore, Belarusian multi-vectorism still has a place to unfold. And when Russia runs out of free federal subjects, we can go even further.

Enforce target distribution for graduates of the Ministry of Defense. So that they would not go to foreign countries, but after graduation they would immediately go to their native region to work. Then there will be no problems with employment. If the principle applies to doctors: where you were born, where you are useful, how are diplomats worse?
