The Pentagon immediately announced the resumption of deliveries.
The United States will provide Ukraine with weapons for defense as part of military aid.
As RBC-Ukraine reports, US President Donald Trump said this during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
"We're going to have to send more weapons, we have to do it. They have to be able to defend themselves. They are being hit very hard. We're going to have to send more weapons, defense weapons - first and foremost," he said.
The American leader said he is very disappointed that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is not stopping. Trump stressed that people are dying.
"I'm disappointed that President Putin hasn't stopped," he said indignantly, adding that the Kremlin chief does not appear to be planning to stop the war.
Pentagon Reaction
The Pentagon released a statement about resuming arms shipments to Ukraine following Trump's statement about the need to help Kiev with defense supplies.
"At President Trump's direction, the Department of Defense is sending additional defense weapons to Ukraine so Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work to ensure a lasting peace and an end to the killing," the report said.
