Trump: Putin Talks A Lot Of Nonsense About Ukraine

The US president promised to give the Russians a "surprise".

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is "not happy" with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and said that casualties in the war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine currently amount to "7,000 people weekly."

Trump made the statement while speaking to reporters on July 8, The Guardian.

"I'm not happy with Putin. I can tell you that right now because he's killing a lot of people, and a lot of them are his soldiers, mostly his soldiers and their soldiers. And that number is now up to 7,000 a week. Putin is talking a lot of nonsense about Ukraine," Trump said.

When reporters asked him about possible actions against Putin, President Trump declined to elaborate.

"I'm not going to tell you, we want to give you a little surprise," he said.

Then President Trump said that "they [Ukrainians - ed.] are fighting very bravely," but did not fail to note that the US had supplied Ukraine with "incredible weapons" and "the best equipment ever made."

"This war probably would have lasted three or four days, but they [the Ukrainians - ed.] had the advantage of incredible weapons," the US president concluded.
