Ukrainian forces went forward in the Sumy region.
Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the north of Sumy region in a series of counterattacks. Geolocation footage from July 8 showed the AFU advancing in the northern and northeastern parts of Kondratovka.
Analysts from the Institute for War Studies described the situation in Sumy region over the past 24 hours.
A Ukrainian military observer Konstantin Mashovets reported that Ukrainian forces advanced between Kondratovka and Konstantinovka, east of Alekseevka, and entered Novonikolayevka.

Russian war correspondents say that on July 8, the AFU entered Kondratovka from the northwest and Alekseevka from the northeast.
One of the Z-publics claims that Ukrainian forces are already in the northern and central parts of Kondratovka.
This way, it was possible to cut off Putin's army from the ground supply line along the C-191502 Novonikolayevka - Vladimirovka highway.
To support the withdrawal of its troops from Kondratovka, the Kremlin transferred units of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces to this section of the front.
The situation is also difficult for the occupants of the 155th Marine Brigade, who are trying to maintain control of positions south of Alekseevka.
Analysts write that the Russian Armed Forces' offensive in Sumyshchyna slowed down in late May and early June. Since mid-June, the AFU has switched to counterattacks, regaining territory after territory.
The AFU commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky said that fighting remains intense in the Slobozhansky direction: Ukrainian forces not only hold their positions, but also fight in Kursk region and Belgorod region.
It was in May and June that the Russian Defense Ministry decided to move its elite units of unmanned systems from Kurshchina and Sumshchina to Donbass. However, Russia may also reinforce its forward units in the north of Sumy region in the near future to continue advancing towards Sumy.
